The Institute of Sports Medicine and Active Health of the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Pilsen offers, in addition to teaching and research, sports medical examinations for students, performance testing of professional and hobby athletes. Everything is handled by our team of qualified specialists in their field.
Individual tuition
Classes are taught in small groups, where students learn about health, sport, exercise, and what it is like to be a physical education doctor. The seminar is hands-on and students experience first-hand a physical therapist’s examination, working with a callipers, a stress ECG, lactate collection or even a spiroergometric examination.
Research and other activites
Our institute is actively involved in research in many areas. We are also actively developing projects related to the topic of healthy movement. As part of the Movement is Medicine prevention initiative, we organise events involving not only members of the academic community but also the wider public in movement.
